Name:
Location: Takatsuki, Osaka, Japan

I'm a university student and belong to karate circle in the university. I like sports very much. In my junior high school and high school days, I belonged to volleyball club, and track and field club. I enjoyed both of them, and now I like watching these sports on TV. I also like animals and have a dog and 7 Japanese killifish. I want to have a cat, too. However, my father don't like cats, and my dog, Rug, will chase the cat. So I will not be able to have any cat...

Presentation of a certification

After 5th period on this Friday, I had a ceremony to present an oversea student certificate. I even didn't expect getting the certificate, so the ceremony was a little bit bothering to me at first. Students had to wear a suit on the ceremony, and I expected listening to long long speeches.
Yes, we had long long speeches, and dean’s was the longest. He said that he had spoken longer than he had expected… He is an alumnus of KGU and studied abroad when he was fourth year student.
President, dean, a teacher, and two students who study abroad from this spring spoke on the ceremony, and there was a sentence I liked, which one of the students spoke. “It is raining now.” He said it meant that it would be fine later. So if I get difficulty, I’ll be able to think that it will be over someday, with the sentence.
At first, the ceremony seemed to be bothering, but the ceremony encouraged me.

Coming of Age Day

On last Monday, the ceremony of coming of age day was held in my hometown.

I went to the place where the ceremony was held with my friend. There were so many people. I wanted to see my junior high school friends, but I could find just some of them... In addition, the hall wasn't large enough for us to get in. I and my friend didn't listen to people on the stage for a long time.

After the ceremony was over, there were more people... I called one of my junior high school friends to see and to talk, but it was too crowded to find her. I and my friend stayed there about two hours after the ceremony. We wanted to go to purikura, but we couldn't. We didn't have enough time to go because we planted to go to our high school. Students of my high school who was the same year as mine were going to go to my high school to see. I met some friends of mine. They were all beautiful in furisode.

After that, I and the friend went to karaoke and had dinner with another friend.

I remember that my brother had the ceremony of coming of age day last year, and now, my ceremony of coming of age day is over. A year is short... Recently, I really think so. On the 13th of January in 2007, I will have finished study abroad. I think that 2007 will be short for me again. Maybe shorter. So I want to make this year meaningful and beneficial.

Today, I ate out with Yuka, Kaori, and Eri.
We went to Fugetsu. Eri ordered a okonomiyaki with pork and squid, and I ordered a okonomiyaki with pork and kimuchi. Yuka and Kaori ordered two hiroshimayakis.
Okonomiyakis and hiroshimayakis are baked in front of us. The staff turned them very well, though I have never did it well.
While we were wating until they were baked, I found a difference. It is how to bake a okonomiyaki. In Fugetsu, they put dried bonito (kastuobushi) on a okonomiyaki while it is baked. But, my mother put dried bonito after a okonomiyaki have been baked. So I was a little bit shocked. I prefer my mother's way to Fugetsu's. However, the okonomiyaki was delicious, so the difference was no problem!

Howl's Moving Castle

I hadn’t watched “Howl’s Moving Castle” yet, so I watched it yesterday. I found it, when I went to TSUTAYA to get films I’ll use for Scott’s assignment.
It was very good and is one of the best films of Gibri for me.
I like Howl very much! (especially with blond!) When he appears for the first time in the movie, he acts cool. But, when the color of his hair is changing, he is really upset. Those differences are interesting. He is like a child when he is with Sophie.
I like Calcifer in second to Howl. He is funny. He doesn’t listen to anyone except Howl at first, but follows Sophie when she scares him. And I think that one of the reason he looks funny is that he can’t move freely by himself, though he has great power. I like the scene that he eats egg shells and the scene that he hangs on a charcoal tooth and nail. But, the fact that he is Howl’s hart was shocking to me…
Before I return the movie, I want to watch it again!

mixi

Recently, I’m absorbed in mixi. Maybe it was about 2 weeks before that I joined mixi. I was invited by one of my circle’s members. Nobody can get mixi without someone’s invitation.
It is a social networking site (service?) that has community, my mixi, okiniiri (favorite), diary, ashiato (footprint), and review. Community is groups that people who have the same interest come and talk with other people. In my mixi, you can keep your friend’s mixi. I don’t know what I can do with okiniiri because I haven’t used it. Diary is your diary, and you can put pictres. On ashiato, you can see who have visited your mixi and can go to their mixi. If you have favorite books or movies, you can write the review of them. Once you join a community or get your friend’s mixi, you get notification of new comment or diary of the community or mixi. It has searching ability, so you may be able to find your friends. I found one of best friends in high school. Try it!!

A Larva of Cabbage Butterfly

Maybe it was 9 days before that my sister came home with a larva of cabbage butterfly on her cloth. Finding it, I and my mother was surprised and laughed.
If it was a stinkbug, I would have thrown it out of the window. However, the larva looked a little bit cute, so I gave it fresh vegetable. I and my sister took picture of the larva with our cell phones and enjoyed watching it.
After a while, I thought that I would not be able to throw it away, though I was not going to keep it. However, I decided to keep it after all because my sister didn't seem to be interested in it any more.
I fed vegetable to it every morning. I think that the amount was enough for the larva, but it didn’t get bigger…So I was sometimes worried about it and wondered why it didn't get bigger. However, yesterday I found that the larva was making thread, before I leave for school. Now, the larva is waiting for getting out in the chrysalis.

A cat I see when I have a walk

Some days before, I saw a cat in front of an electrical substation when I was walking with my dog. The cat ran inside of the fence when we came close to the cat. My dog plunged his head in the fence wagging his tail. When we encountered cats, they went away almost every time. However, the cat stayed close over the fence, though that might be just because the cat was sure that my dog couldn’t reach her (maybe her).
She hardly moved, so we left there and kept walking. However, when we were gonna pass the electrical substation again to go home, the cat was still there, though it was cold and already dark. At that time I wondered why she didn’t go away, but I found the reason yesterday.

I saw the cat yesterday at the same place again. At first, I thought that the cat might live there. However, I understood the reason why the cat stayed there when I found food under the fence. The cat was waiting someone who had fed her before.
This morning, I passed the electrical substation with my dog again, but I didn’t see the cat. Maybe she doesn’t live there. (Yes, it’s too cold to live there!) The reason why she often comes to the place is just because she waits the person who feeds her, not because she lives or loves the place.
I couldn’t take good picture of her because it was getting dark, so I’ll take a walk when it’s not dark to take pictures of her. She is cute, I think, so I should take nice pictures of her!!!
